This is the last barebone keyboard you will ever need to buy.
Trying out different switches, replacing old ones, and matching several types of mechanical keyboard switches used to be difficult and required extreme technical skill. The Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard (GMMK) is the world’s first mechanical keyboard featuring hot-swappable switches for Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh branded switches. Switches and keycaps are REQUIRED, but NOT INCLUDED. You can purchase your favorite keys/switches separately and assemble on our GMMK.
Ever wonder what Gateron Blues felt like? Or what is the craze behind the Cherry MX clears? Want to use Gateron Reds for your WASD, but Gateron Blacks for all your other keys? With the GMMK barebone, you no longer have to purchase an entirely new keyboard, or disassemble and solder your switches – you can simply pop in any switch of your choice just like a keycap, and mix/match to test out and use any combination of switches you desire.
Armed with a glorious sandblasted aluminum faceplate, 100% anti-ghosting (full NRKO), RGB LED backlighting (several modes), modular switches, double-shot injection keycaps, and minimalistic design - The GMMK is revolutionizing the mechanical keyboard market, giving users full control without needing any technical experience.
- Fully Modular Keyboard: As the first Hot Swap RGB gaming keyboard, GMMK features hot swap switch sockets so you can plug in and out switches as your DIY preference. No need to solder for hours. Featuring per key 16.8 million RGB, fully customizable with our GMMK Software, and major RGB patterns can be set from the keyboard hotkeys directly without software.
- Compatible Mechanical Switches: GMMK is compatible with a wide range of 3-pin plate mounted Mechanical switches. You can use linear, clicky or tactile switch to make a quiet office setup as well as your gaming setup. Compatible with backlit RGB SMD LED compatible switches like most Cherry, Gateron and Kailh Switches so transparent keycaps legends become extra bright full of RGB and easy to read. Swap any 3 pin Mechanical clicky, linear, or tactile switches.
- OEM Layout: A standard ANSI layout with standard sized bottom row makes GMMK widely compatible with 3rd party standard keycaps available in the current marketplace - with brands like Keychron, Akko, RK Royal Kludge, Epomaker, etc and with a wide range of colors like white, black or pink keycaps make the RGB keyboard pop out. The full aluminum metal top plate and ABS plastic bottom plate make the build perfect for fine sound tuning - be it clacky or thocky.
